The Optejet’s ease of use makes it great for both caregivers and self-administration. A clinical study with glaucoma patients showed that 95% of subject attempts at self-administering using the Optejet were successful1. The same study also showed 96% of technician administrations using the Optejet were successful on the first attempt1.

Appropriate Dose
Traditional eye drops are approximately 40μL in volume and exceed the absorption capacity of the eye which is approximately 8μL. This can lead to drug overflow and possible overdosing that exposes patients to excess drug and preservative2. With our microdose array print technology, delivered with the Optejet® dispenser, an 8μL dose of medication can be precisely misted onto the cornea with 80% less exposure to drug and preservative toxicity. Products delivered in the Optejet® have lower amounts of drug entering the blood stream with potentially fewer side effects on the eyes.
