Job Summary:
The primary responsibilities of the National Sales Director are to plan, direct, and implement business strategies for the sales team of specific Eyenovia products to Eye Care Professionals. Responsible for the attainment of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals for the nation as well as the management, training and development of the Key Account Manager/Directors.

Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Key Account Managers/Key Account Directors

 

Essential Functions

To include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Lead and manage Key Account Managers (KAM)/Key Account Directors (KAD) to ensure the attainment of the individual territory monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Develop, maintain and expand business opportunities among eye care professionals, targeted partners and customers.
  • Drive continuous product acceptance, sales growth, and profitability for Eyenovia
  • Maintain and expand customer base by coaching KAM/KAD, building and maintaining relationships with key customers, identifying new customer opportunities.
  • Develop and implement a territory sales strategy and plan, monitor KAM/KAD performance to plan and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Periodic business reviews and the implementation of business plans that facilitate Eyenovia corporate goals and objectives.
  • Accompanies and participates in customer meetings with KAM/KAD as needed.
  • Establishes working relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and decision makers within assigned region with the objective of driving early adoption of Eyenovia products.
  • Work with Marketing, Operations and Training to design and implement promotional concepts for target accounts and markets.
  • Manage national expense budget within corporate guidelines.
  • Provide the company with continuous input on market events, market trends or changes that affect Eyenovia’s business.
  • Portays a professional image in all communications.
  • Understands and accepts that due to the corporate structure of Eyenovia, other tasks can be assigned as necessary.
  • Adheres to all Eyenovia, Inc. policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS GUIDELINES

To include, but are not limited to the following:

 

Education/Training/Experience 

  • Four-year degree in life sciences, business, or related field
  • 5 plus years of experience in Sales, Sales Management
  • Minimum of 3 years in pharmaceuticals and/or medical device within ophthalmology/optometry

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to work at all levels of customer organizations.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to quickly assimilate and act upon information.
  • Ability to effectively plan, develop and execute sales strategies and implement specific activities to achieve objectives.
  • Experience in consistently and successfully managing, training, and coaching sales team to achieve results.
  • Strong ability to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with executive leadership, sales and marketing leadership, business partners, and colleagues.
  • Manages personal development as well as that of direct reports, setting development objectives and ensuring their achievement.
  • Proven ability to design, develop and implement sales processes.
  • Experience in departmental budgeting and forecasting.
  • Recognizable as a forward-thinking, resourceful team player with exceptional organization skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects of large scope, coordinate multiple activities and resources, lead ad hoc teams, and manage direct reports.
  • Takes full accountability for all decisions and how they impact others.
  • Ability to develop, produce and deliver sales and training presentations to clinical and non-clinical personnel.
  • Effectively responds to and brings resolution to customer inquiries and concerns.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Able to climb stairs.
  • Ability to travel by air, rail, car.
  • Able to operate personal computer.

Training Requirements

Training in relation to company systems and procedures, as well as individual job duties will be provided by Eyenovia.  The need for additional external training with respect to regulations, industry standards, etc. will be determined by employee’s supervisor, and provided as appropriate.
