Position Description Position Title: Key Account Manager Territory: Dallas, TX Department: Commercial Operations (Sales and Marketing) FLSA Status: Exempt Base Salary: $80k-$120k depending on experience Scope of Job Job Summary: The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for sales activities for their assigned geographic areas. These sales activities include the entire process from lead generation through the close of the sale and the development and implementation of an agreed upon plan which meet both personal and company goals of expanding customer base. The KAM works within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values. Receives Direction From: National Sales Director Provides Direction To: N/A Essential Functions To include, but are not limited to the following: • Manage a sales territory of assigned geographic area. • Sell consultatively and make recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers for their business needs. • Provide prospect/customer with price quotations and ensure there is full understanding of the parameters regarding such programs. • Develop a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, direct mail, email and networking. • Assist in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed. • Research trends and developments in eye care through the use of related publications, internet and training sessions to maintain and grow current knowledge base. • Maintain contact with all clients to ensure high levels of client satisfaction. Receives and resolves customer complaints and problems in a timely manner. • Understand and support sales policies and procedures to provide proper and effective treatment to all customers. • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities. • Participate and contribute to the development of educational programs offered to clients/prospects. • Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments. • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes. • Perform other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS GUIDELINES To include, but are not limited to the following: Education/Training/Experience • Four-year degree in life sciences, business, or related field • Experience in commercial function(s) in pharmaceuticals or medical device company Knowledge/Skills/Abilities • Proven ability to achieve sales goals. • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities • Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership • Ability to maintain flexible attitude and approach toward assignments and successfully operate under ambiguous guidelines • Ability to foster and maintain customer relations • Ability to provide high levels of customer service • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints • Ability to present products in a skilled and knowledgeable way • Ability to write reports and write business correspondence • Ability to excel in Consultative Selling Techniques • Effective communication skills. • Excellent problem-solving skills. • Proficiency with written and spoken English. • Excellent organization skills. • Ability to travel 25 – 50% of the time. Physical Requirements • Able to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time. • Able to climb stairs. • Ability to travel by air, rail, car. • Able to operate personal computer. Training Requirements Training in relation to company systems and procedures, as well as individual job duties will be provided by Eyenovia. The need for additional external training with respect to regulations, industry standards, etc. will be determined by employee’s supervisor, and provided as appropriate.
